In game description:
Situated in the South Country, Rheita Mountain range's magnificent scenery is famous even to the people who live there. Although it is abundant in natural resources, the terrain is rugged and harsh so the locals support each other as one big family. They make money with livelihoods such as cattle ranching and the selling of handicrafts.
Lennox visits the mountain range every spring so he can climb the rugged landscape and spend the summer with his sheep, tending to them the entire time.

Location Gimmick:

---------------------------------------------------------
Gimmick Explanation:
Like it says in the comic, your main goal in Rheita mountain is to gather as many sheep into your flock as you can. There are two types of sheep you can aim for, depending on what you're trying to get.
White sheep give Traits.
Black sheep give points to parameters.
You start out the training session with 2 sheep of each color, and while progressing through the parts, move them to new fields to keep multiplying their numbers. As for how to do that....
Let's look at the special location menu. You can check this at any time to see your status, so be sure to use it often.

Grass remaining: The first thing you need to know is the gauge on the gimmick button. This shows how much grass is left in the field you are currently at.
Each location will take away a different amount as you can see in your location information screen. It will also display the grass remaining.
However, if it reaches 0, your sheep will run away and drastically reduce in number.. You do not want that!
You'll want to press the orange button to move your flock to a different location before it runs out. This is the also the best way to increase your sheep numbers.
**Please also note: if you fail at training, the grass will still reduce.
Getting locations:
Pretty much any interaction, whether resting or practicing will give you a chance to get a new location. However, if you practice with the trait that has a sheep icon on it, it will have a high chance of giving you a location that that color of sheep favors!
These locations will show up on your special location menu as indicated. Once again the sheep icon tells what field the sheep favors, and no icon means it is neutral. You can have a total of 6 locations at once, and if you find another, it will replace an old one.
When it comes time to move your sheep, you'll want to pick from one of these!
Favored locations:
You will get more of one type of sheep-white or black-if you are in their favored location. This is one of the most important factors, as this is how you can increase their numbers by large amounts.
There are 9 different locations with their own quirks, and picking the right one is essential. There's two major factors to pay attention to: a HIGHLY favored location, and weather.
See this picture below to figure out if a location is highly favored by your sheep or not.
![]() | You're looking for one that says とても. If you don't know much jp, it basically means "very" and this shows that white sheep really like this location! |
The second line there is about the weather. I will explain what exactly weather changing can do next, but when choosing locations, its good to know the weather changing can provide buffs. If you see these in the second line:
安定 only = means the weather is stable.
比較的 + 安定 = means it is 'relatively stable'
変化が起こりやすい = means weather changes easily (if its easier, you can even just look for the やすい on the end to know it is the right one!)
From top to bottom, it gives you the least to most likely to change.
Weather:
And as for the weather, its like the comic says. You will get a little advance notice flag when the weather is about to change. This can occur any time your grass gauge is 40% or more, and is more likely the more unstable weather your location has.
If you do not move locations on THAT turn, you can gain an extra effect for your sheep below.
晴天 (fine weather) = At the end of this turn, both sheep colors get +10.
恵みの雨 (blessed rain) = At the beginning of this turn, the grass gauge recovers to 100%
春一番 (spring winds) = During this turn, sheep will multiply much faster.
Unfortunately the only way to really see which one you get is to pay close attention to the text at the bottom of your screen, but its a good way to practice recognizing words, hopefully.
-----------
And that is how the core of the mechanics work. The flow is practice as normal to gain locations, figure out which one is best using the info above, move them with the orange Migrate button, and continue. (And of course, stay put for weather buffs.)
This is a majority of what you will spend time doing, and you can always check on everything by pressing the special command button to bring up your status.
The other important part is of course, the results and bonuses your sheep will give, which is somehow just as involved. So at the end of each part, you will get these result screens.
-------------------------------------------------
Results:
Both types of sheep give different rewards, as stated before. First I will go over what the white sheep give you:
![]() | This is where you use your white sheep bonus. Depending on the number of white sheep in your flock at the end of the part, you can select the traits with the check marks at the bottom. These are randomly drawn according to your rating there at the top, with more of them available as your rating goes up. The table below will show the values for each one, but here just select which traits you want your chibi to have. You can't give your chibi a trait it has already, and if you do not select one this round, it may be drawn again in the future. |
Evaluation:
# of sheep | Evaluation | Bonus |
0 | Still developing (発展途上) | N/A |
1-100 | Inexperienced (未熟) | N trait x 1, R trait x 1 |
101-500 | Rookie (ルーキー) | N trait x1, R trait x 2, SR trait x 1 |
501-1500 | Qualified (一人前) | R trait x 2, SR trait x 2 |
1501-3000 | Excellent (優秀) | R trait x 1, SR trait x2, SSR trait X 1 |
3001+ | Expert (熟練) | R trait x 1, SR trait x 2, SSR trait x 2 |
Select the traits you want and then, continue on to the black sheep bonus points. We will come back to the number of sheep you start with next part later.
![]() | And this is the black sheep bonus screen! It looks just like the normal chibi stats screen, because that's basically what it is. Depending how many black sheep you had in your herd, you will have points indicated here that you can allocate to whatever stat you want. You need to use them all here though, as they do not carry over into the next part. |
However, if you you have only around 1-9, it just gets automatically converted and you can't do anything with it.
The last screen after that is just a warning saying your decision is final and you cannot go back if you move on without assigning points. Remember to use all of them!!
Sheep to carry over: And last but not least is the number at the top telling you how many sheep you will take into the next part. There is a handy chart that tells you this based on how many you had at the end:
Count at end of turn | Count for next part |
<=9 | all |
10-20 | 10 |
21-50 | 20 |
51-100 | 30 |
101+ | 50 |
And that finally should be it! It's a surprising amount of info for a sheep herding gimmick, but I hope this can clarify most of it. Feel free to reach out if you do see any mistakes or something to add!
Extra Notes:
- Moving pastures takes up an entire turn and consumes stamina, so keep that in mind. You can't use the gimmick if you don't have enough stamina
- If you remember what I had before about that blue help button, turns out thats on all results screens on all locations. Milelage still varies though, since its just 'hints'.
- White sheep and black sheep will decrease and increase in an inverse relationship, unless in an area neither of them favor, in which they both increase gradually. This is not very fast, though.
- Number of sheep cannot go lower than 2 for either color.
- Sheep will not increase in number when you move fields.
- The sheep are still cute
