In Game Description:
This vast marshland is home to a huge variety of wildlife, a far cry from its morbid history. Long ago, a horrible plague had swept through the area, granting the swamp its name. It was only through Figaro’s power and guiding hands that humans were able to reclaim this place to live in once again. The rainy season brings with it a blessed rain, and the swamp blooms with a bounty of delicious fruit for the locals to gather. Looking down at this paradise, it is hard for any to imagine why this place had ever been called ‘The Swamp of Pestilence’ in the first place.

Location Gimmick:

----------------------------------
Gimmick Explanation:
Okay, so the good news is that this is one of the simpler location mechanics, and one of two you can actually put on auto mode and it will still give you a bonus. You can get more/targeted rewards if you play manually, so whatever you feel up to will work.
The gimmick of this location is the "Report". This records information about your training, which in then is turned into bonuses for Rank exp, yen, and card exp. There's also a venue specific item here that will help, so here is each part in greater detail.
Report:
This is the name of the gimmick and what you will see when you press the special location command. At the end of each turn, this report records your partner's condition as well as the result, and puts it in this chart.

You can see from the layout that each result is recorded by success via column, and what condition your training partner had in each row. It's pretty easy to follow, and you can check it at any time. It will display the total bonus at the top of each column, and they do add up.
If you have 5% bonus in the middle and 10% on the left, both of those have a yen bonus, so it would be 15%!
At the bottom is the venue exclusive item, the mysterious flowers. Here you can press on them and it will tell you how many you have, and how much stamina it will consume.
Bonus:
There are three types of bonuses you can get from the reports:
Rank Exp: You can gain a bonus to player rank exp every time you get a 'Great Success' or 'Failure' during training.
Yen Exp: This is a bonus to the amount of money awarded at the end of the training session. You will get a bonus every time you achieve 'Success' or 'Great Success'.
These two bonuses have an upper limit, and are also different depending on what condition you achieved it under. The values that it records are in the table below. and, these add up together to the total at the top of the column.
Condition | Great Success | Success | Failure |
Great | +10% | +20% | +10% |
Good | +5% | +10% | +5% |
Normal | +2% | +4% | +1% |
Sick | +3% | +5% | +2% |
Injured | +4% | +6% | +3% |
Scenario Card Exp: This works slightly different and is not tied to condition like the other two. Instead the bonus increases for every part you finish. 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% at part 4. Therefore it's usually the best to go through the entire training period to get the most card exp.
-----
Mysterious flowers: Like stated above, these are a venue specific item that can help you in getting the bonuses you want from the report. And how do they do that? By ensuring a specific result for your next interaction. There are 4 types of flowers:
![]() | Will trigger a 'Great Success' the next time you train. |
![]() | Will trigger 'Success' next time you train. |
![]() | Will trigger 'Failure' next time you train. |
![]() | Will RANDOMLY change your training partner's condition. |
Like stated above, they take a little bit of stamina to use, and you can use multiple in one turn. If you get a flower after training, it will also show up as a line of yellow text in your results. Knowing some of the kanji here too will help.
'Special Report' Chance: The final aspect of this location gimmick is the special report mentioned in the comic. This can occur for 3-6 turns each part, and will be random.
If you match your condition and training outcome to the report that appears in the top left of the screen, you will get double the % bonus!
Ex. if you get a normal success while your partner's condition is good, and the special report for that exact combo is active, you will get +20% instead of +10%.
This will be indicated by a little green +1 on the report screen.
While the condition thankfully uses the same icons as training, you will have to be able to recognize the kanji for 'Success' etc. to know what conditions to match. They aren't too hard since you will be encountering them a lot, but here they are again:
大成功 = 'Great Success' 成功 = 'normal Success' 失敗 = 'Failure'
And that about sums it up. If you just want some card exp bonus and some yen bonus, you can easily set the game to auto here and rack it up while doing something else.
Otherwise, by paying attention to your partner's condition and training outcomes, you can get some fairly decent rewards.
Extra Notes:
- your report contents and flowers carry over each part; however, like most other venue specific items, you cannot take them with you after.
- the contents of the special report will never be the same twice in a row.
- using the special command button or a mysterious flower will not advance your turn.
